“Dr. Saad Saad Treats Injured Children From the Middle East “

When a child in the Middle East is severely injured and in need of surgery, the one doctor who can help them is Dr. Saad Saad. That’s the reason why on more than one occasion, the Palestine Children’s Relief Fund (PCRF) has flown children to the United States to be operated on by Dr. Saad Saad.

In 1991, PCRF was created to assist Middle Eastern Arab children with getting medical help. On several occasions, the organization has called upon Dr. Saad Saad to help children who had life-threatening injuries.

In 2002, Israeli doctors were able to save the life of a 15-year-old child who suffered a gunshot wound in the West Bank. Because of his extensive injuries, the doctors were unable to provide further treatment. The child was left with holes in his stomach from the gunshot. His skin was burnt, and he had difficulty eating. The PCRF organization flew the child to the United States to be treated by Dr. Saad Saad. In 2010, PCRF contacted Dr. Saad Saad again. This time it was to operate on a child from the West Bank, who was born with the intestines in her stomach exposed. The local Palestinian doctors were unable to help the child. Dr. Saad was able to operate on the child and created a cover for the exposed area in her abdomen.

In 2013, Dr. Saad was called upon by PCRF to operate on a third child. This time it was a young boy who was hit by a bomb in the Gaza Strip, causing him to be paralyzed. After receiving a nerve transplant, the child was able to move his leg again. Eleven months later, the boy was able to walk and play soccer back in the Gaza Strip.

Dr. Saad Saad, who was born in Palestine is a pediatric surgeon in Eatontown, New Jersey. He has been practicing medicine for 34 years and his specialty is thoracic surgery. Dr. Saad has several hospitals affiliations, including the Jersey Shore University Medical Center and the Monmouth Medical Center (Long Branch Campus).
