Serge was inspired to start his company Zilch Technologies by his son Philip who is an IT Engineer. His main aim was to improve the financial situation of younger people through their mobile phones because it’s the most used electronic. Serge mostly makes money by making products that will help people. According to Serge, he does not regret his starting point, since he has learned a lot from it. Whenever Serge experiences self-doubt, Serge goes back to the times Serge trusted his instincts, and how many times it led to great success. Serge Belamant believes that word of mouth is the world’s greatest marketing tool. Once you make something great, then people who use it will market it for you. Serge finds it hard to choose between dedicating time to two ideas he thought great but couldn’t be done how he wanted them done. Serge loves the book ‘Brothers Karamazov’ by Fyodor Dostoevsky because of the philosophical questions asked throughout the book. Serge recently bought his daughter an American Girl’s Book which according to him, has helped her learn about things like peer pressure, saving and even relationships. His favorite quote is ‘It’s easy to see far when one stands in the shoulders of a giant.’ He loves it because it speaks of the importance of having mentors.
